About Valencia
Valencia is Spain's third largest city and has experienced a cultural renaissance in recent years. Located on the Mediterranean coast, it is a medium-sized city of about 800,000 with pristine beaches, extensive promenades, fascinating architecture and a mild, sunny climate. Valencia is a great location for a summer camp& students visit the beach at least twice a week!

Facilities:
The Valencia Summer Camp is situated in Valencia's lively university neighborhood. The camp site is within walking distance from the beach, not far from the city center. The camp site holds a room for internet, music, TV, games and meetings and a conference room, as well as a laundry room and sports facilities.
Primary Objectives of the Camp
- To learn Spanish in a healthy, multicultural and healthy environment.
- To experience Spanish culture and traditions with friendly and qualified supervision by camp counselors and staff.
- To enhance the teen’s ability to carry out daily tasks independently without the help or protection of their families while in a highly supportive setting.
- To offer a wide range of enriching sports or cultural activities allowing students to build individual character, confidence and skill.
- To build social relationships and make new friends from Spain and countries all around the world. Many of our students come back year after year.
- To instill the values of teamwork, self-confidence and individual responsibility.
- To have an incredible summer.
Program Description
The students receive 20 language lessons per week divided into three or four lessons a day, Monday to Friday. Each lesson is 45 minutes in length. There are six different levels of Spanish ranging from complete beginner to proficiency level. A maximum of 12 students is in each class to ensure individualized attention. Materials will be provided to the students and are included in the course price. Classes are taught by native Spanish speakers who hold five-year university degrees in Spanish linguistics or teaching Spanish as foreign languages, plus the CAP (Certificate of Teaching Ability). The communicative method of teaching will be used, which combines both grammar and other aspects and skills of language learning and communication especially conversation.
Accommodation
Students reside in school residences made up of shared dorm rooms.. Dorms are divided by age and sex, and a counselor is on-call to assist students 24 hours per day.
Medical Assistance
Medical assistance will be available 24 hours a day to ensure the well being of the students. It is very important that we receive detailed information about any special health conditions or requirements that students may have.
Sports Activities
The sports activities may be of an individual, group or team nature.
- Team sports: Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer, Handball, Baseball, Water polo, Aerobics, Olympics, Ping pong and many others.
- Individual sports: Swimming*, Archery, Horseback riding*, Golf*, Badminton, Bowling, Tennis*, Paddleball*, Darts, Hockey, Frisbee, and Rock climbing
Recreational Activities
Several activities take place in the afternoon or after dinner, either outdoors or indoors:
- Contests and Treasure hunts
- Party nights (costume, talent show and scary-theme nights)
- Traditional camping games
- Theme days: Cowboys and Indians, 60’s, Medieval Times Camp Discos
- Camp Evenings (music, theatre, night games).
Cultural Workshops
Students may practice different activities and learn more about Spanish culture, art and history through several workshops:

Excursions
A minimum of one all-day and two half-day excursions to nearby sites of special interest are scheduled according to the location of the camp selected. These activities are scheduled during each two-week camp period. These excursions are designed to introduce our students the great diversity of Spanish culture, food and geography. Spain , divided into 17 autonomous communities or states, truly offers something for everyone.
